This is going to be a big one. [LOTS of pictures]

Went to Fort William in Cape Elizabeth, Maine on the 28th (yesterday). Took tons of pictures, and found three stamps in a four-stage letterbox, and one geocache. The geocache was the first one placed in Maine, the lovely GC128. Also, on the 27th I returned to the Greene Nature Trails to leave the dry log in the cache. I have pictures from that as well, but for now I'm just going to post Fort William pictures.

Also among the pictures are shots from Portland Head Light (the most photographed lighthouse in North America. Some say it's the most photographed in the world, though no one can tell :P). The lady in the picture I took of the lighthouse is not naked--she's just wearing a skin-tight skin-tone shirt and tiger print leggings.

Feel free to ask questions/for explanations about any of the pictures. I have more in my photobucket album, and I can make the album public upon request.

Geocaching - Greene and Lewiston

Not many of them. Need to go back for more pictures later, as well as return a log I dried off. Woo! Thought I had grabbed pictures of the letterboxes, but sadly nothing ;_; The second letterbox was awesome. Thought I saw where it was so I ran my shoe over it and it pulled away a layer of pine needles and there it was! hahaha. I'll maybe update a post with the journal from this day. It was June 15.

Geocaching! Woo!

Yay diet?

So, I'm going back to the Atkins diet for a while to see if I can get a hold on my weight, then chip away at it with all my hiking and stuff. However, I realized I have a teensy weensy problem.

I'm a vegetarian. Atkins diet = meat diet.

I'm literally living on celery, fish, jello and sprouts. And diet soda.

The fish is disgusting, I hate it. I like shell fish, but this is unbearable. Once the fish is gone, I'm not buying anymore. I started hating all forms of eggs while I was in college, so now I cringe when I try to eat one. Not a good thing to do. Tastes gross as well.

So my diet the last few days has consisted of three stalks of celery in the morning, a day of activities and fun that I can use to ignore the hunger, and then jello at night. I have diet Dr. Pepper in the day though. But yeah, I'm supposed to get 20 carbs at most. I don't think I'm even hitting 2.

God damn. I'm gonna be dead by this time next month. So much for eating healthy.

Geocaching Journal

I grabbed a journal that was on sale at Waldenbooks today. -is happy-

I decided a couple days ago that I would like to keep a journal of my geocaching activities (it also now includes my letterboxing activities as a bonus). The first couple pages are a list of caches (and letterboxes) I found before starting the journal. The next pages are for DNFs, so that I can go back to them easily. The next page is more of a planning list for caches that would go well in a single trip (there are some caches I prefer to do at night, just because). The list will probably disappear. The journal has a pocket in the back that I can put index cards in, and have the plans on those cards instead. Foolproof plan, huzzah!

I almost wish I had grabbed two of these journals. Writing in it's fun, though it's hell on my wrist. x.x

Anyway, after the first few pages of info I got down to what I wanted. I wasn't sure how to show exactly what I wanted in it. I didn't want to mess it up with highlighting and stuff like that, so I took to underlining, which keeps it neat and orderly. I listed the order of operations in the write-up, and have brief cache descriptions in there. The end of the entry is a summary of what happened during that day/trip. I'll post the first entry here, though I'm a little embarrassed about one of the DNFs. Seems so simple, unless it was missing or something. Then I'm not as embarrassed, but a little sad. :(
