More cache musings

I almost want to make a crafty geocache. Like, where people leave things they make. I know it wouldn't work out because I doubt (m)anyone would bother taking the time to make something to leave in it, and it would likely just have stuff I left in there (or less for people that don't leave something after leaving, or just stuff they bought somewhere or got from burger king). I just wish I could see what people were making, stuff like that. Heck, even a signature cache would be good, where people just leave sig items and trade them.

I'm not feeling well. Biked back from Moxie after the pony rides (in 90°+ weather), and now I have this horrible cough and it hurts and I just kinda wanna die. I wanna run up Pisgah just to do something, but that's not happening.

Geocache/Letterbox Hybrid idea and dilemma

I've been toying around with the idea of a Letterbox hybrid for a while. There are so few in the area, I'd kinda like more haha. I'm thinking of making it a multi-stamp letterbox, as well as a multi-step geocache. I have no idea how that would work out when I put it up, sadly. On Mt. Pisgah, there's a trail that people don't use that often as it doesn't lead to the top, but off to the side and down to where some camp lots are. I've been there many times with the horses, but the problem is that the trail is a bit hidden depending on time of year. I figure I can put a micro right in that area so that it kinda of points out where the trail branches off. The other purpose of the micro would be to laminate the paper with the coords on it, and have LETTERBOX HYBRID AHEAD: DO NOT TAKE THE STAMP on the back (I would also somehow affix the stamp to the container, just in case). Then the coords would be listed, and either lead to another stage in the multi, or the end. I haven't quite decided where I want my end :P It's a nice trail, and no one would have to leave the trail to grab the geocache. I'm thinking I'll go up there this week while the parents are out and check things out, get some readings and ideas, etc.

There would also be three (or more) stamps on this. I'm thinking the last one in the series will be the carved one, and the others would be small store-bought ones (because I am a lazy lazy person). There would be one on the way up the trail, another at where the trail towards the hybrid branches off, and maybe two or three more down along the new trail. I'm trying to decide if I want to make a theme for this or not :|a Probably not, because (again) I am lazy. lol.

Now I just have to figure out what to do about stamps, and whether I should get a larger container for the final stage of the hybrid. I don't know if the one I have it big enough.

Maybe I can put two geocaches out there and solve my dilemma that way :P
